The LINE PATROLMAN is passed down the bottle sealing line attached to a bottle. Its built in sensor directly measures the electromagnetic energy received from the induction sealer. It does this from the position of the induction bottle seal for the greatest possible accuracy. Machine based controls can only control the output transmitted from the sealer. The LINE PATROLMAN measures the energy received by the foil which is the all important value.
This measurement is the combined effect of all the process variables - the sealer power output, the gap beneath the bottle sealer head and the conveyor speed - in a single reading. This is a much simpler and more accurate means of controlling the induction sealing process than was previously possible. Simpler because only one setting value is used, more accurate because it directly measures the energy going into the bottle seal from the position of the bottle seal.
